Hello there! Thanks for stopping by to learn a little bit about me. Let me introduce myself, I’m Kelsey, I have been working alongside Willie for nearly 4 years now. I started out with G Farms, working with our beef customers, cutting and baling hay, and playing with the bees. I have moved over to construction to work as one of the project managers with keeping a close eye on the interns and things on the farm. I do enjoy snagging some time in the tractor whenever I can.
I have two beautiful children, Ian (14) and Ivy (11) and a fur child, Bruno, my mastiff mix. I also care for my parents German Shepherds, Booker and Ivy-Dog. Since I have a thing for even numbers I had wild hair to accept a gift from one of my customers. In a few short weeks I will welcome my new puppy, Ella, to the pack. Ella is nothing more than a Heinz 57 puppy. When I’m not working you can find me outside by the pool, swimming with the kids and dogs or playing catch with my daughter. I am a proud softball mom and love being “that loud mom” at the games.
Purple is one of my favorite colors but not your lavender or periwinkle purple; I like bright, bold, tropical types of purple. I have a very strong opinion that Mexican food can be eaten any time of day. I could live off of fajitas, chips and queso. .
Something unique about me that you wouldn’t know unless I just told you, I have a balance disorder. Bilateral Superior Canal Dehiscence Syndrome to be exact. In September 2020 I had surgery to repair the inner ear bones. It has helped some but not completely. I still struggle with muffled hearing and a bit of a wobble every now and then. I started wearing wigs after my surgery since part of my head was shaved. I fell in love with them and they have become a part of my daily routine. It’s not uncommon to see me one day with long, flowing blonde hair and the next a short, sassy, blue bob. I have loved the opportunity it has given me to encourage women with hair loss to try something different and feel empowered with that boost of confidence having “good hair” can give you.
One of the non-negotiables in working here is that you read every day. What at first was a challenge has become second nature. One of my favorite authors and speakers is Ann Voskamp. She has a very poetic style of writing that touches your souls. Her words are very inspiring and cause a lot of self reflection. I am currently reading her newest book Waymaker. If you have ever found yourself in a troubled sea, not knowing which way to sail, or felt as if the waves were going to capsize your boat, this book is for you. A couple other authors that hit my sweet spot are Lisa Bevere, John C Maxwell and Mel Robbins.
I am a passionate person. When I take on your project, I carry the weight and emotions of that job, as if it was my own home. If it’s not right, it’s not done. So let’s grab some fajitas and some sangria and talk about your next project. I’m looking forward to building a lasting relationship with you.
