Tile is an essential element in interior design that often goes unnoticed. It not only adds aesthetic appeal to a space but also serves practical purposes. One of the key advantages of tile is its durability. Unlike other flooring options, such as carpet or hardwood, tile is resistant to wear and tear, making it a long-lasting investment. Additionally, tile is easy to clean and maintain, making it an ideal choice for high-traffic areas like kitchens and bathrooms.
Another significant benefit of tile is its versatility. With a wide range of colors, patterns, and textures available, tile allows for endless design possibilities. Whether you prefer a sleek and modern look or a more traditional and rustic feel, there is a tile option to suit every style and preference. Furthermore, tile can be used not only on floors but also on walls, backsplashes, and even countertops, adding visual interest and creating a cohesive look throughout a space.
Lastly, tile plays a crucial role in creating a healthy and hygienic environment. Unlike other flooring materials, tile is non-porous, meaning it does not absorb moisture or harbor bacteria and allergens. This makes it an excellent choice for individuals with allergies or respiratory issues. Additionally, tile is resistant to stains and odors, making it easy to keep clean and ensuring a fresh and sanitary living space.
The book I have been reading the past few weeks is The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks. This book dives into the idea of what Gay call’s the upper limit. The upper limit is a sabotaging factor one produces when there is an increase in success, healthy relationships, or just all around well being because they don’t think they deserve it and majority of the time they don’t even know its there. Recently I have been reading over the chapter on how to spot the upper limit in every day life and more particularly over worry. Gay walks through what he does to avoid negative thought and replaces it with one that is positive and moves you froward in the right direction. When I find myself doing this, it allows me to forget about my worries to the point that they don’t come back and I can stay busy thinking about what actually is be beneficial in my life.
