Hello DC and H family. I’m Dave Flaishans and the newest project manager to join the family. I’m originally from Michigan and after 22 years of traveling the globe in the Marine Corps I landed in Texas which I have called home since 2007.
Today I would like to provide an inexpensive way to save money on energy costs. Insulation is a quick, low cost way to help your house stay cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
The EPA estimates that the average homeowner can save 15% on heating and cooling costs (11% of total energy costs) by adding insulation in attics, crawl spaces, and basement rim joists. For most folks, that’s about $200 in savings per year.
As energy prices rise (we know they will) the compounded savings over years of home ownership can yield an expected savings of $10,000.
